It was another WONDERFUL SUMMER DAY, SPENT ATthe 2010 Kennerdell Music and Arts Festival.
And folks, if you missed it, you missed something that I don't think you can buy ANYWHERE for $3!
Of course, MY FAVORITE couple were there to sing and play as the "RYVER NYMPHS":

For those that have never attended the first festivals, down along the river - - there were THE VENANGO CHAMBER PLAYERS that played some easy listening music, like some of that early music (just wonderful).
The new growth of this festival really took on a new meaning this year when it was announced that there was a new award added in memory of ROBERT A MILLER, and I hope that MR. MILLER looks down on me favorably as I sit around my home and sing (to myself, of course) a song that I wrote about THE RYVER NYMPHS and THE BEAUTIFUL ALLEGHENY.
Such new awards help this festival grow and I look forward to continuing THE MARILYN WINGARD AWARD.
As usual, I like to select and pin a small award on a photo or painting, from this HONEYTOWN NEWS. This year, I surprised myself with selecting the same person as last year, and I did this without seeing the names turned over on the tags:

Besides the day long music and the chance to view a lot of fine efforts by the artists, there are the vendors/and /crafters. Some are new, some have been there before. I enjoy getting to talk to many of them, while Cindy ran around collecting business cards and snapping pictures of everyone, to be added at the bottom of this page.
As a writer myself, I enjoyed talking to Thom Rodgers, About his Book, "BABY GRAPE & HUSKY"

Even now that the Festival is over for this year, the little booklet that came with the admission fee, is a wealth of information. If you cannot find one, it is available for view at my book club.
For those who don't get my newsletter, with my word sketch about Kennerdell - - go to google select - - Kennerdell website, then select the community page - - enjoy reading some of the fun news.
Above all, I'm happy to see ALL the FINE companies that stepped up and are helping the Festival.
AND FINALLY WHAT EVERYONE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR: SOME PICTURES OF THE ACTION, THE ART, AND THE PEOPLE.

These are six foot flowers built with odds and edds (metal) , including old tools, old fans, old pieces off cars, etc etc. But he builds all different sizes and shapes. Even builds butterflies and whatnot also! Here is his card:

And Here is Valerie's Gallery:
