Born March 29, 1936, Guy Richard (Dick) Wingard, has always been the "ultimate wilderness man". If there is an herb, tree, bush, or weed growing in your yard, he would more than likely know what it was.
Raised in Honeytown, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, with ten (10) brothers and sisters, he came from a large family, who learned at an early age, that a good days work paid off in the end - - most times.
Guy is a self - taught writer, and has been since his "young years", back there in Honeytown. He has had many teachers, some from school, some ole-time neighbors, some family, but his parents taught him about nature and about farming, and gave him his natural love for both, along with his wonderful sense of humor.
